CINEWORLD LOUGHBOROUGH CELEBRATES STRONG START WITH MOVIE MARATHON TO MARK ITS FIRST YEAR

Cineworld Loughborough rang in their one year anniversary on Thursday, May 18, after welcoming nearly 325,000 cinema-goers in its first year.

The cinema, which is home to eight state-of-the-art screens, has shown nearly 300 films across almost 12,000 screenings, resulting in at least 1,440,000 minutes of movie magic for local residents. What’s more, a whopping 47,293 portions of popcorn have been popped over the course of the year!

Phil Jones, Cineworld Loughborough General Manager, comments: “It’s been a wonderful first year and we’ve loved being part of the local community, welcoming around 325,000 customers through our doors since we opened for the first time on 18th May 2016. We were really excited to celebrate our first anniversary over the weekend of 19th-21st May. On Saturday and Sunday, we gave away lots of prizes and goodies, and what better way to ring in our second year than by watching King Arthur: Legend of the Sword at our eight-screen complex. We’re expecting the film to be really popular, so make sure you don’t miss out by booking your tickets at www.cineworld.com.”

Cinema fans can take advantage of the onsite Starbucks coffee shop and enjoy Baskin Bobbins ice cream as part of their cinema experience, as well as take advantage of NUS Student discount. The cinema is also available for private venue hire.
