Loogabarooga Festival

This year the Loogabarooga Festival is delighted to welcome Waterstone’s Children’s Laureate, Lauren Child.  The opening day, Wednesday 18th October is jam-packed with exciting Lauren Child themed activities, including Lauren Child live at Loughborough Town Hall and parties for all you little Charlie and Lolas out there!

You can start the day by following the Lauren Child illustration town trail around the town centre shops all the way to Charnwood Museum, where you can see original artwork from your favourite Lauren Child books. These include Charlie & Lola and their Friends, Clarice Bean, Hubert Horatio Bartle Bobton-Trent and more. Town trails can be picked up in participating shops throughout the town centre, with plenty of prizes to be won. Winners will be announced at the Loogabarooga Dog Show on Sunday 22nd October featured on page 16 of the programme.

Lauren will officially open the Charnwood Museum exhibition at 2pm on Wednesday 18th October, so come along to see Lauren and turn up as your favourite Lauren Child character, whether it’s Charlie, Clarice Bean or even Sizzles! There will be a prize for best costume of £150 in gift vouchers, courtesy of The Loughborough Building Society
