{"id":1613,"date":"2021-03-04T10:41:49","date_gmt":"2021-03-04T10:41:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/loveloughborough.co.uk\/love-bid\/?p=1613"},"modified":"2021-03-04T10:41:49","modified_gmt":"2021-03-04T10:41:49","slug":"hmrc-additional-financial-information","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/loveloughborough.co.uk\/love-bid\/hmrc-additional-financial-information\/","title":{"rendered":"HMRC: Additional Financial Information"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The UK Government has announced further support for you and your employees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><a href=\"#Extension\">Extension to the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS)<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"#February\">You can now make February CJRS claims<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"#VAT\">VAT deferral<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"#support\">Where can I get further support?<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"#Protect\">Protect yourself from scams<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Extension to the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) has been extended until the end of September 2021.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The UK Government will continue to pay 80% of employees\u2019 usual wages for the hours not worked, up to a cap of \u00a32,500 per month, up to the end of June 2021<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For periods <strong>in July, CJRS grants will cover 70% of employees\u2019 usual wages<\/strong> for the hours not worked, up to a cap of \u00a32,187.50. <strong>In August and September, this will then reduce to 60% of employees\u2019 usual wages <\/strong>up to a cap of \u00a31,875.<\/p>\n<p>You will need to continue to pay your furloughed employees\u00a0at least\u00a080%\u00a0of their\u00a0usual\u00a0wages for the hours they do not work during this time,\u00a0up to a\u00a0cap of \u00a32,500\u00a0per month. This means, for periods between July and September, you\u00a0<strong>will need to fund the difference between\u00a0this and\u00a0the CJRS grants yourself.\u00a0<\/strong>You can also top up wages above the 80% if you wish, but you are not required to do so.<\/p>\n<p>You must continue to pay the associated Employer National Insurance contributions and pension contributions on subsidised furlough pay from your own funds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CJRS eligibility from May<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For periods from 1\u200c\u200c \u200cMay 2021 onwards, you will be able to claim for eligible employees who were employed by you and on your PAYE payroll on 2 March 2021. This means you must have made a PAYE Real Time Information (RTI) submission to HMRC between 20 March 2020 and 2 March 2021, notifying us of earnings for that employee.<\/p>\n<p>You and your employees do not need to have benefitted from the scheme before to make a claim, as long as you meet the eligibility criteria.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on the extension to the scheme and the support available, search &#8216;Job Retention Scheme&#8217; on GOV\u200c\u200c\u200c.UK.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You can now make February CJRS claims<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can now submit your claims for periods in February. These must be made by <strong>Monday\u200c\u200c \u200c15\u200c\u200c \u200cMarch<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>You can claim before, during or after you process your payroll. If you can, it\u2019s best to make a claim once you\u2019re sure of the exact number of hours your employees worked so you don\u2019t have to amend your claim later.<\/p>\n<p>Check if you and your employees are eligible and work out how much you can claim using our CJRS calculator and examples, by searching &#8216;Job Retention Scheme&#8217; on\u00a0GOV\u200c\u200c\u200c\u200c\u200c.UK.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you need to do now<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>If you haven\u2019t submitted your claim for January but believe that you have a reasonable excuse for missing the deadline of 15 February, check if you can make a late claim by searching &#8216;claim for wages&#8217; on GOV\u200c\u200c\u200c\u200c.UK.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Submit any claims for February no later than Monday\u200c\u200c\u00a015\u200c\u200c\u00a0March<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Keep records that support the amount of CJRS grants you claim, in case HMRC need to check them.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>VAT deferral<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you deferred VAT payments due between 20\u200c\u200c \u200cMarch and 30\u200c\u200c \u200cJune 2020 and still have payments to make, you should pay by 31\u200c\u200c \u200cMarch 2021 if you can.<\/p>\n<p>If you cannot afford to pay by 31\u200c\u200c \u200cMarch this year, you can now use the online VAT deferral new payment scheme to spread your payment.<\/p>\n<p>The new scheme lets you pay your deferred VAT in equal monthly instalments, interest free. You can spread your payments across a number of months depending on when you join \u2013 the earlier you join, the more months you have to spread your payments across.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>11 instalments if you join by 19\u200c\u200c \u200cMarch<\/li>\n<li>10 instalments if you join by 21\u200c\u200c \u200cApril<\/li>\n<li>9 instalments if you join by 19\u200c\u200c \u200cMay<\/li>\n<li>8 instalments if you join by 21\u200c\u200c \u200cJune.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can join the scheme quickly and simply online without the need to call HMRC. To find out more information, including the things you need to do before joining, go to GOV\u200c\u200c\u200c.UK and search &#8216;VAT deferred&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The online service will close on\u00a021\u200c\u200c \u200cJune 2021 \u2013 if you want to join the scheme online, you must do so before this date.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re on the VAT Annual Accounting Scheme or the VAT Payment on Account Scheme, you\u2019ll be able to join the new payment scheme later in March. We will share more information on this shortly.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a Time to Pay arrangement already in place for your deferred VAT, you cannot use the online scheme.
