Applications for the Local Discretionary Grant Scheme have reopened to eligible Charnwood businesses.<\/p>\n
Charnwood Borough Council is operating the scheme and firms are being encouraged to apply as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
The scheme is for small and micro-businesses in the leisure, hospitality, personal care, and travel sectors plus some suppliers to the hospitality sector who have experienced a loss of income due to the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n
The Council has reopened the scheme after receiving further funding from Government. The deadline for applications is Friday February 11.<\/strong> The deadline has been set due to limited amount of funding available and applications will close sooner if the funding runs out.<\/p>\n Grants will be awarded on a first come first served basis based on the date of receipt of a fully completed and eligible application until the available amount of funding is committed.<\/p>\n Businesses which successfully applied for the scheme during the last round between December 23, 2021 and January 4, 2022 are not able to reapply in this round.<\/p>\n Since the start of the pandemic, the Council has paid out more than \u00a355 million in Government funding to local businesses.<\/p>\n The full eligibility criteria and details on how to apply is available at\u00a0www.charnwood.gov.uk\/cvbusiness<\/a>.<\/p>\n
