{"id":5273,"date":"2022-02-07T10:11:43","date_gmt":"2022-02-07T10:11:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/loveloughborough.co.uk\/love-loughborough\/?p=5273"},"modified":"2024-04-17T11:56:53","modified_gmt":"2024-04-17T10:56:53","slug":"local-discretionary-grant-scheme-reopens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/loveloughborough.co.uk\/love-loughborough\/local-discretionary-grant-scheme-reopens\/","title":{"rendered":"Local Discretionary Grant Scheme reopens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Applications for the Local Discretionary Grant Scheme have reopened to eligible Charnwood businesses.<\/p>\n<p>Charnwood Borough Council is operating the scheme and firms are being encouraged to apply as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>The scheme is for small and micro-businesses in the leisure, hospitality, personal care, and travel sectors plus some suppliers to the hospitality sector who have experienced a loss of income due to the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>The Council has reopened the scheme after receiving further funding from Government.<strong> The deadline for applications is Friday February 11.<\/strong> The deadline has been set due to limited amount of funding available and applications will close sooner if the funding runs out.<\/p>\n<p>Grants will be awarded on a first come first served basis based on the date of receipt of a fully completed and eligible application until the available amount of funding is committed.<\/p>\n<p>Businesses which successfully applied for the scheme during the last round between December 23, 2021 and January 4, 2022 are not able to reapply in this round.<\/p>\n<p>Since the start of the pandemic, the Council has paid out more than \u00a355 million in Government funding to local businesses.<\/p>\n<p>The full eligibility criteria and details on how to apply is available at\u00a0www.charnwood.gov.uk\/cvbusiness.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-footer\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Applications for the Local Discretionary Grant Scheme have reopened to eligible Charnwood businesses.
