Loughborough BID takes a proactive approach to reducing crime and anti-social behaviour in Loughborough town centre. The Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP) provides support, advice and assistance to BID members to tackle crime in the town centre. The BID BCRP provides:

  • STREET SECURITY patrols – operating 5 days a week to prevent shoplifting and anti-social behaviour
  • NTE STREET SECURITY patrols – operating on Friday & Saturday nights to support the evening economy
  • RADIO LINK – secure radio link with access to other radio users, CCTV & BID Street Security. We offer a 3 month FREE TRIAL to the scheme to any BID member.
  • DISC – Secure online information sharing system for Shop Watch and Pub Watch Members. Details HERE
  • SHOP WATCH – Quarterly meetings open to all BID Members to tackle retail crime and ASB
  • PUB WATCH – Quarterly meetings with licensed premises to keep Loughborough safe during the evening

The Love Loughborough Street Security Team is a team of two experienced, SIA trained officers who are tasked with patrolling Loughborough Town Centre to deal with any issues BID Businesses have concerning anti-social behaviour, shop-lifting and crime related incidents. The Team are out visiting businesses 5 days a week to help reduce crime and create a safer and more welcoming town. The Team can be contacted for rapid response via the BID’s BCRP Radio link. They will be live on the BID radio during patrol hours and able to respond rapidly to any shop lifting or ASB related incidents.
