We will collect:
- Paper – including shredded
- Cardboard – please flatten
- Cartons – rinse and squash
- Bottles and jars – clean and lids removed
- Plastics – rinse and squash
- Food tins and drink cans – rinse and squash
- Foil – clean
- Aerosols – empty
Please remember:
- Do not put out bins/bags BEFORE 4pm if possible.
- Please place your recycling in the orange bags provided.
- You can leave loose cardboard as long as it is flattened and bound.
- If you would rather have a wheelie bin – we will pay 50% of the total – this is a one off cost.
- The bin will be your bin for the full term of the BID.
- Please take the bin off the street immediately after collection.
- If your recycling is contaminated by incorrect materials, it will not be collected – you must take it back in and present it correctly.
- Please do not put black sacks in your bin – your bin WILL NOTA BE collected if it contains black bags.
Don’t risk a fine!
If you leave your bin or rejected recycling out after collection you may be issued with a fixed penalty notice for £110 under section 47ZA of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
