Love Loughborough Launches Shop Safely Safety Campaign

Love Loughborough, working alongside Charnwood Borough Council, launch #ShopSafelyLboro Campaign

The team at Love Loughborough BID, working alongside Charnwood Borough Council, are launching a campaign called “Shop Safely Loughborough”, to encourage visitors back into Loughborough town centre to shop, eat, drink, play & do business. We have invited Aspect 3, a new Loughborough start-up film production company, to work alongside us to create short snippets of Loughborough businesses trading & working safely during the COVID-19 pandemic. The videos will be launched via a social media campaign over the next few weeks to assure shoppers and users of the town that safety measures are in place in stores and businesses in Loughborough.

The videos will be posted on the Love Loughborough social media channels and on the Love Loughborough website. Look out for the first video on independent bakery, Olivia’s

Love Loughborough BID have been supporting businesses in Loughborough throughout the pandemic and understand that customer confidence needs to be rebuilt to attract visitors back into Loughborough. The videos cover an array of businesses from retail to eateries, and beauty to leisure. Love Loughborough will continue the promotion for the evening economy later on in the month to help the restaurants and pubs attract customers back into town.

Lisa Brown, BID Manager says “We have inevitably seen a decrease in town centre footfall since the lockdown has been lifted, so it is important to us as a Business Improvement District to ensure that we do everything we can to promote the safety measures that our businesses have in place to reassure our visitors that it is safe to shop, eat, play and do business in Loughborough”.

This campaign is part of a wider campaign to aid the recovery of, not only Loughborough town centre, but Charnwood businesses and districts as well. Charnwood Borough Council will be leading on the Borough support with Love Loughborough BID supporting those businesses primarily based within Loughborough.

As well as creating short video clips for the “Shop Safe’ campaign. Love Loughborough BID and Charnwood Borough Council provided Love Loughborough BID members and businesses across Charnwood with guidance booklets to help businesses trade safely and safeguard their employees. Over 1,500 were distributed across the Borough and were well received by the recipients. The guides can be found at

Love Loughborough BID is also providing BID members with the opportunity to purchase discounted PPE equipment as well as 5 Free social distance stickers for use within their premises. The PPE is available for businesses only and can be ordered at
