The Loughborough Car Show is cancelled for 2021

The 2021 Loughborough Car Show has been cancelled.

Love Loughborough BID, in partnership with Charnwood Cruisers, have taken the joint decision to cancel the Loughborough Car Show that was provisionally scheduled for June 2021 based on the government’s guidelines with the Coronavirus pandemic.

Love Loughborough BID take the health and safety of the town and wider community incredibly seriously and with this in mind and listening to the latest guidelines the event has been cancelled for this year.

Lisa Brown, BID Manager said ‘The Loughborough Car show is a much loved event that BID brings to the town and people travel further afield to enjoy the day. However, in light of the government’s restrictions on mass gatherings we need to put the public’s health first and cancel this event for 2021’

Charnwood Cruisers said. “It is with regret and sadness that Love Loughborough and the Charnwood Cruisers Custom Car Club are having to once again cancel the Father’s Day Car Show normally held in the town center. Due to the on going COVID situation we thought it would not be wise to go ahead as having circa 20,000 people in close proximity would not be prudent. We would like to thank exhibiters, marshals, businesses and the general public for their support over the years’

We hope that the car show will make a return for next year but until then we need to put the public’s health at the forefront.
