We have recently emailed all BID businesses as Barclays Bank in Loughborough are offering their services to help businesses at this present time.
Currently their Small Business Managers in Loughborough are currently busy proactively contacting all of their business customers to ensure they are supported with their COVID-19 contingency plans and signposting many of them to the valuable resources that BID have made and are sharing on our website and social media platforms.
We and they understand that some businesses in Loughborough are currently still confused and concerned with what is available and how to claim funds and they would therefore like to extend this support to the BID businesses that do not bank with Barclays.
Our and their understanding is that Barclays is the only Bank in Loughborough that have managers still available face-to-face, so if there are any small businesses that need help or guidance then please let them know so they can assign their managers to contact you next week.
Barclays are not not approaching this with a commercial lens, they simply want to ensure as many businesses in Loughborough are able to continue trading, whether that’s through developing temporary diversification strategies or help with applying for government financial schemes, they want to help.
