• Christmas Lights Switch-On – Friday 28th November, 4.00pm to 8.00pm The town centre will be closed under the same arrangements as the regular Thursday and Saturday retail markets. Entertainment will take place in the Market Place, with some noise expected until approximately 8.00pm. We encourage shops to stay open during this event to welcome visitors and contribute to the festive atmosphere.
• Santa Run – Sunday 7th December (morning). Organised by Rainbows Hospice, the Santa Run will require town centre road closures in line with the usual retail market arrangements.
