Businesses in Loughborough Town centre have voted strongly in favour of a third 5 year term for the Love Loughborough Business Improvement District (BID), starting on 1st April 2022.
In the ballot the majority voting ‘Yes’ was over 80%.
Love Loughborough Chair Lez Cope Newman said “We’re obviously delighted with the result which is a positive step forward for the future of the town centre and Loughborough as a whole. We are grateful to the businesses for this endorsement of our work so far and look forward to working with them to deliver the exciting new business plan proposals over the next five years. I’d like to thank the BID management team and my fellow Directors for all their hard work, as well as the Borough and County Councils and our many delivery partners”.
Notes to editor
The Love Loughborough BID was set up in February 2012 following a vote of town centre businesses. It represents over 600 businesses across all sectors that each pay an annual levy to fund the improvements. A board of Directors made up of BID Businesses oversees the delivery and management of the scheme.
