Campfire Press Release

Love Loughborough offers digital campfire sessions for businesses.

The High Street has seen a major decline in footfall since the Covid-19 pandemic and is now on the slow road to recovery. To support Loughborough Businesses, and get them thinking of new ideas and strategies to engage with their customers, Love Loughborough is offering monthly Digital Campfire meetings for businesses across Charnwood, whereby a guest speaker will be invited to each meeting to inform and discuss sector specific topics, which will give businesses the opportunity to ask questions and collaborate with other businesses too.

This initiative has been organised by Love Loughborough BID as a way to help businesses make use of the tools they have available to them, and increase trade since the COVID 19 pandemic. The topics are focused on how businesses can use modern technology to offer online experiences as well as encourage customers back into their business. The digital campfires are also an opportunity for businesses to interact and learn from each other’s experiences and understanding, when put into practice, how some of these tools can work for them.

Many of our business are based on face-to-face interaction so when that is reduced it can be difficult for our businesses to engage and attract new customers. So, we have been listening to these concerns and thinking of solutions that can best help and navigate a plan around these obstacles.

Our first Digital Campfire of the year will be held on 31st January, 10-11am with local born company LoyalFree, who created an app which gives businesses a platform to list exclusive offers, increase footfall and gather accurate data on customer purchases. They also provide the ability to create interactive trails in and around businesses to create an experience while visiting the local area. To sign up for the first digital campfire please go to loveloughborough.co.uk/love-bid/digital-campfires/.

Lisa Brown, Love Loughborough BID Manager said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to support each other with sharing information and knowledge and we hope that the wide variety of sessions we have can appeal to all of our businesses.”

Loughborough is a great town and our businesses are tenacious and resilient and we are sure that the town will bounce back stronger and more vibrant than ever.
